Can I rent the property I am buying? Yes. It is not recommended for obvious reasons. A buyer can fall out of love with the property he/she is buying and decide to cancel the purchase. No reason for a seller to agree to rent the property to a buyer. But, every situation and every buyer is different. It depends on what state you are in the buying process.
